Ashley Fox MEP on the possiblity of Grexit
Ashley Fox makes a good case on Conservative Home here that the best solution for Greece and the Eurozone is an orderly, properly planned and negotiated parting of the ways.
I agree.
I don't support Syriza's policies but they have been elected and have the right to implement them, and that cannot be done within the Eurozone.
(The policies I would vote for were I a Greek won't work within the Eurozone either.)
Unfortunately this is a difficult thing for the EU institutions to accept as they don't like the idea that a country which has been part of the EU can ever leave.
But if a planned departure of Greece from the Euro is not agreed, there is all the more risk of an unplanned one, which could be much worse for all concerned.
