Education Secretary Nicky Morgan writes

Have you seen our new Election Broadcast?

It shows how our plan is securing the things we all want for our children and grandchildren: a good education, a decent job, great public services and the chance to make the most out of their lives.

It's really important that everyone knows the choice at this election: a better, more secure future with the Conservatives or putting all the progress we've made at risk with Ed Miliband propped up by the SNP.

So please watch and share our film with your friends today, and let's secure that better future together.

Thank you,
Nicky Morgan

I like the first pledge "We will clear the deficit so our economy is secure for the future"

That does sound good, though i do seem to recall that they also promised to "emliminate the deficit over 1 parliament" that came 1 parlimaent age. Hmm but we still have 2/3 of it.

I suppose they are learning though, this time they are only promising to clear the deficit so our economy is secure for the future

so they say they will clear the deficit but of course give no indication as to WHEN? all we know its at some time in the future, well that tells us a lot....not.

I was also laughing this morning at someone on the radio (it was 6 oclock so i dont recall who) but they were talking about using the money raised from an "inititive" to fund deficit reducion.

I mean what the heck is that supposed to mean.

"oh i'm spending far more than i earn so i can take a second job in order to raise the money i need to stop spending so much money" - WHAT????

Yes, I think the idea of using money from an "initiative" to fund Deficit reduction probably should have been an April fool but wasn't.

I also had trouble working out which of the things posted about Ed Miliband on April 1st were April fools ...
