Inkerman Terrace, Whitehaven (A5094) closed from today for up to five days

Because of carriageway resurfacing and repairs by Cumbria County Council, Inkerman Terrace in Whitehaven (the A5094) which is part of the main route for Southbound traffic from Whitehaven Town Centre to the A595 for Sellafield and destinations to Barrow, will be closed from today for up to five days.

There will be a diversion in place but expect congestion around Whitehaven as traffic is displaced onto that diversion route and other roads.

Goodness knows. It's certainly causing a fair degree of disruption.
