The financial services industry provided billions in loans to support businesses during the pandemic and will be key to ensuring a swift recovery as we build back better.
That is why the Chancellor yesterday published a roadmap to ensure that the UK remains a world leader in financial services, launching a new green savings bond to boost investment in carbon-neutral projects, protecting access to cash to support local businesses, and boosting links with global financial centres like Singapore and Switzerland.
These plans will ensure that the financial services industry continues to create jobs and prosperity across our Union and supports a green recovery from the pandemic that works for everyone.
