Bearing in mind that the above post "Who are the real voices of Leave?" was written in April 2016, a couple of months before the referendum vote, I think a lot of the points it made were quite prescient. <br /><br />I was wrong that if Leave did not lay out a plan it would not win the referendum. But I am still convinced that I was right to argue that they should have - and if they had and had still won, I think we would have had a better and much less disruptive Brexit. Our main problem it seems is that we had assumed our own politicians and government were competent. Its proven to be a grave error. They were handed a leave plan on a plate, but due to prestige wouldn't even speak of it, instead deciding no plan was the way forward.
