Recruiting Childcare workers
Today the government is introducing a new national recruitment campaign for childcare workers, giving nursery and early years providers the staff they need as we stick to the plan to offer more childcare places for parents to ensure a brighter future for all.
- Working parents should not have to choose between a career and a family – which is why we increased free childcare from 15 to 30 hours a week. Today, we are announcing a £1,000 sign-on cash payment for new recruits who join the early years sector to increase capacity. These steps mean we can continue to deliver world-class care for our children, whilst working parents will save up to £6,500 a year.
- We have a plan that will ensure the early years sector is ready to deliver for working parents and their children, creating a brighter future for this generation and generations to come. Labour can’t say what they would do because they do not have a plan, meaning families will be worse off whilst the economy goes back to square one.
