Terry Pratchett RIP

Sorry to hear that Terry Pratchett, a very funny, warm and clever man, has died at the age of 66 after a long battle with Alzheimers.

Members of my family love his books: I will never forget a powerful presentation he gave about Alzheimers to a conservative conference about five years ago. (He had an unusual form of the disease, a condition which causes suffering but leaves the victim with enough mental capacity to be able to operate normally for many purposes including the ability to describe it.)

Rest in Peace

I remember when I was a first year at St Benedicts school. In the library there I found "Mort" I thought it was hillarious. I think I had read them all before I was in the third year.

RIP Terry
