I have been trying to work out why this post with the list of candidates for a county council election seven years ago - e.g. the election before the most recent one - was getting such a lot of traffic. Ordinarily the above comments would probably not get past Blogger's SPAM filters. However since they seem to have done so and somebody is reading this post I will let them stay up.

Afraid I don't have any contact details for the Michael Eyles who stood as a Lib/Dem candidate in Penrith West in 2009 but if Alan Eyles should be reading this I suggest you contact "Penrith and the Border Liberal Democrats."

Please note that there was a boundary review between the 2009 and 2013 Cumbria County Council elections and most of the divisions have changed at least slightly, though some much more than others. At the time of posting this additional comment - July 2016 - Cumbria Conservatives are about three quarters of the way through selecting the candidates to context these seats in 2017. If anyone is interested in taking part in that election please contact me - if you want to be a Conservative council candidate please do so at your earliest convenience as possible as the remaining seats will be filled very soon.
