I am honoured to have been selected as the Conservative candidate for Leeds North East in this general election.

I look forward to engaging with the voters of Leeds North East about the important issues facing this great city.

Firstly congratulations, I didn't know you were looking to stand, but fair play to you and good luck.

I would like to ask though, what is your postition on the banning of new petrol/diesel cars in the up coming years as personally I think it will be an absolute disaster.
I say that as a man who has driven electric cars for the last 5 years and am currently on my second, we are actually an all EV family, my wife has one too. But I know from experience, they are great if you can do most of your charging at home, but pretty much useless if you cant, and I have a feeling that is very much the position of a lot of people who live in Leeds.
