The UK's Debt clock

The UK National Debt was already too high as a result of the pandemic and impacts of Putin's invasion of Ukraine when Labour took office.

Under Sir Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves, the national debt has soared again.

As Shadow Chancellor Mel Stride points out,

"Labour promised growth but, having botched welfare reform, and spent and borrowed like there's no tomorrow, the only thing growing is the UK's national debt.
