THEY DON'T TRUST LABOUR - DO YOU?

Who do you trust with the economy, with jobs, with supporting our businesses and funding our public services?
When business owners and leaders were asked, they didn't say Labour:
  • By 58% to 13% they trust the Conservatives over Labour to run the economy
  • By 53% to 18% they believe the Conservatives are best for small businesses
  • By 53% to 21% they believe the Conservatives are best for creating jobs
And the most telling statistic of all: by 53% to 17% they trust the Conservatives over Labour to produce a growing economy that can guarantee funding for health and education for the long term. (Source: YouGov survey, 6-9 November 2014)
 
These are the people who create jobs - and they know that a Labour government would be a disaster for Britain: hitting businesses, costing jobs, dragging our economy backwards, and leaving us with less money to fund our vital public services.

Trusting the Conservatives over Labour is one thing, but it does not mean too much.

In answer to your question, do I trust Labour? the answer is no, I most definitely do not. Not even a little bit, not even a tiny little amount, Not at all, in fact can we get into "negative trust" here?

So the fact I trust the conservatives more than labour, whom I quite clearly could not trust less, does not really warrant the conservatives shouting from the rooftops.

I understand your point entirely.

Nevertheless, given that it is extremely likely that the next government will be either Conservative, Labour, or some form of coalition in which one of those parties is the main player, the choice between Conservative and Labour is very relevant to the decision of how people should vote.

Quote of the day 24th July 2020

I was moved to put the passage below forward as a quote today when I saw a horrible post on twitter from someone writing that it was "excellent" that someone who took a different view from her about Brexit had died. I won't write which way round it was so that all the Remain supporters can assume the post was from a Brexit fanatic welcoming the death of a remainer and all the Leavers can assume it was a Remainiac welcoming one less Brexiteer. There's been plenty of nasty stuff on both sides but if you catch anyone of your own viewpoint  posting something like that who might listen to you, please do call them out on it - and point out that they're giving everyone on your side of the argument a bad name.
