More support for NHS dentistry
From today, dental practices across the UK will receive additional payments for seeing new NHS patients as part of our plan to deliver 2.5 million more dental appointments this year, securing a brighter and healthier future for families.
- The Covid pandemic put unprecedented pressure on our NHS. The Conservatives have a clear recovery plan to cut waiting lists, deliver better services and improve outcomes for patients.
- That is why we set out our Dental Recovery Plan backed by £200 million which will see dentists receive additional payments from today for seeing new NHS patients as we deliver 2.5 million additional dental appointments this year.
- Our plan is already working with 1.7 million more adults and around 800,000 more children seeing an NHS dentist last year compared to the previous year. We are sticking to our plan to improve access to NHS dental services, securing a brighter and healthier future for families.
