Quote of the day 9th December 2025

"A 78 per cent tax rate on UK oil and gas is not a strategy. It is economic vandalism.

Mark my words, when investment leaves, jobs go with it. And when production falls, we end up at the mercy of foreign suppliers who do not share our values, our standards or our interests.

Labour simply do not get it. Their choices weaken Britain and the consequences are unforgivable.

Conservatives will scrap this levy, back British workers and protect our energy security with competence and common sense."

Rt Hon Kemi Badenoch, Leader of the Conservative party and the opposition.

Its not just Labour who are making no sense, i just cant get my head around the current situation at all. The whole thing at the moment makes absolutely zero sense at all.

The conservative party oppose conservatism.
The labour party who hate the working class.
The liberal democrat party which is neither liberal or democratic.
The green party who want to abolish nuclear energy.
The Scottish nationalist party that is so nationalist its pro illegal immigration.
The reform party who are incapable of reforming their own party.

I mean, its just bizarre.

I agree with a lot of that, but as you said in another thread, Kemi is finding her feet and the Conservatives are finding our way back to Conservative principles - and to fixing some of the problems we have now.
