That's one protest I really dont get. I have checked this a few times. Basically if you want insulation yo just apply and if you meet criteria you can have it free.

The criteria seems to be you have to apply. No matter what you put in you can't fail.

If you rent your home it's just a case of asking the landlord to apply, it's still free.

If you rent a council home odds are its already been done. I remember copeland putting jackets on the council houses at Mirehouse over a decade ago.

So I can't see what the protest is about. Want insulation? Apply and you can have it.

These people have managed to make what should be a popular cause unpopular, blocking roads, putting their own and other people's lives at risk, and in the case above even obstructing the very measure their stated aim is to promote, so as to try to get the government to do something which it is already doing.
