Lib/Dems revert to Anti-Nuclear stance
During the coalition period, and while the LIb/Dem's present leader was actually the responsible minister, the Lib/Dems appeared to be moving towards a more rational stance on nuclear power.
A Greg Hands said today, if we want to have a reliable base load power which is low carbon, not dependent on Vladimir Putin and works when the sun isn't shining or the wind blowing, we need to have new nuclear power in the mix as part of a balanced energy policy.
But the Lib/Dems have now reverted to a full-on anti-nuclear stance as the amendment below, signed by their leader and most of their MPs demonstrates.
A vote for the Lib/Dems is now a vote for mass unemployment in West Cumbria.
