Lest we forget

Today is Armistice Day, the 93rd anniversary of the end of World War One: Sunday is Remembrance Sunday.

At 11 AM on both days we will remember those who were killed in both world wars and all the other conflicts in which people have given their lives for others.

We will remember them.

They shall not grow old, as we who are left grow old.

what shocks me though is hearing that some stores have banned their staff wearing a "poppy with pride" as some people may be offended by it.

Now i can understand a store not wanting to be involved after all "I dont agree with what you say, but died for your right to say it" would blurt from the graves.

But to stop the staff, that is an insult to injury.

Many brave men and women died to ensure our freedom, whilst i extend that to the store as a business, i do not expect them to lay on views to their staff. Sounds too much like the brave men and women died in vain

at the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them.
