Helping people into work

Today the Work and Pensions Secretary launched a new Job Finding Support service which will provide around 160,000 jobseekers across the UK with employment support, helping them move back into work.

  • As Britain rebuilds our economy, the government will help those who have been recently made unemployed during the pandemic move into a new career, using their skills and experience to get quickly back into work.

  • Working in parallel to existing support available, the new Job Finding Support service will provide digital support and advice to around 160,000 jobseekers over the next 12 months, offering one to one support over a matter of weeks, covering mock interviews, help with identifying transferrable skills and advice on how to switch industries.

  • Conseratives are determined to create a fairer and better Britain as we emerge from this pandemic, and through our Plan for Jobs, we will ensure people get the support they need to secure a good job so we can level up opportunity.
