Vaccination booster update
No apology for repeating this.
Over 10 million people in the UK have received COVID-19 top-up vaccines which will keep them protected this winter, as it is made easier to get a booster jab by opening up bookings a month earlier.
- Just over ten million people have received a booster jab or a third vaccine dose – but there are many more who will benefit from the protection of a third dose.
- That is why the Health Secretary has urged vulnerable people to get their booster jabs as soon as possible, as the government and NHS make it easier to get vaccinated by allowing people to book their appointments five months after their second dose and making jabs available at walk-in centres without appointments.
- If you have any concerns about whether the vaccine or the booster jab is right for you or your family, please discuss it with an appropriately qualified medical professional such as your GP.
