Cracking down on crime, protecting women and girls
Today at Prime Minister's Questions (PMQs), the Prime Minister reaffirmed our commitment to cracking down on crime and tackling violence against women and girls, as we build a safer society for future generations.
- The Prime Minister promised to deliver on the people’s priorities and to keep people safe.
- That is why we have taken action to crack down on crime and get rid of dangerous criminals – giving police greater powers to bring perpetrators to justice, bringing forward tougher sentences for the most violent criminals, and delivering on our commitment to recruit 20,000 new police officers.
