Cutting Anti-social behaviour
The Conservatives are rolling out our plan to slash antisocial behaviour across the country, ramping up visible patrols to drive down crime, boost public confidence, and keep communities safe.
- Antisocial behaviour is a blight on our communities that takes away the public’s right to feel safe in the place they call home. That is why we are building on our successful pilot scheme by investing £66 million in England and Wales to enable every police force to deploy up to 20,000 hours of uniformed patrols in ‘hotspot’ areas, getting more officers out and visible on our streets to crackdown on crime and restore confidence.
- We have also set an ambitious new target to smash another 1,000 county lines by August, bringing the total number of county lines dismantled to over 3,000 since the drug strategy launched in April 2022.
- Our plan to cut crime on our streets is working, with neighbourhood crime, including robbery and theft, almost halved since 2010. We must now stick with it so that every person feels safe and proud of their community.
