An example of Labour Council efficiency
Today is the third of July. On coming home for lunch I found an envelope waiting for me which included the council's year book for the civic year which runs from May 2008 until May 2009. So the 19 pages of dates and events in this diary from 28th April to 2nd July were wasted because they did not reach councillors in time. (It's not just my copy that is late - other councillors have been asking about this.)
Public money has been spent on this yearbook. If the delay is due to inefficiency by the printer, the fee should be reduced by one sixth to reflect the fact that being two months late has reduced its effective value by that amount. And if the delay is due to inefficiency in the council, it needs to be addressed.
Some people reading this may be asking, why am I paying attention to a trivial matter? It's because a culture of tolerating inefficiency, especially where taxpayer's money is concerned, spreads through to other things.
If Copeland council's Labour administration cannot manage something as easy as publishing a diary before two months of the period covered has elapsed, how on earth will the council be able to tackle something difficult like the regeneration of jobs in West Cumbria or deciding whether to take a new repository for Nuclear Waste?

You all have a duty to hold the Officers to account but you all repeatedly fail to do so. All that concerns you is points scoring against one another.
Maladministration and Incompetence (and possibly corruption) is endemic within Copeland BC, it's time Councillor got out of their comfort zone and demanded improvements, and ensured that improvements were made.
