Chris Whiteside is a Conservative activist who lives in Whitehaven in the Copeland constituency and borough with his wife and family. Chris was recently elected chairman of the Conservative party's Cumbria area. He was previously Conservative parliamentary candidate for the Copeland constituency in 2005 and 2010.
I was pleased to see that several Cumbrians were honoured for distinguished service to the community in the New Year's Honours list.
