DC writes about the importance of small businesses

This is a statement the Prime Minister issued for Small Business Saturday last week


  
Small businesses are the lifeblood of our economy - and they make our communities stronger.

The hard work of those who run them and work for them - the early starts and the late finishes - helps create jobs for others, while providing the goods and services every neighbourhood needs.

The Conservatives are backing small businesses every way we can: lower taxes, better infrastructure, less red tape.

Small Business Saturday is our chance to say thank you to the pubs, plumbers, butchers, garages, cafes and other businesses that are the backbone of our communities.

So please - share this graphic on Facebook and Twitter and say thank you to the small businesses in your area.

Well done Dave, you are learning, thats right.

You should be campaigning on things like helping people to run a business and how to help people to employ other people. So much better than pretending you cut something more than you did.

Labour depend on people thinking the state is the answer, and can deliver everything. THe key here to show you will further reduce the burden on those who don't.

Now, aid them further and make a manifesto promise on article 50.

Quote of the day 24th July 2020

I was moved to put the passage below forward as a quote today when I saw a horrible post on twitter from someone writing that it was "excellent" that someone who took a different view from her about Brexit had died. I won't write which way round it was so that all the Remain supporters can assume the post was from a Brexit fanatic welcoming the death of a remainer and all the Leavers can assume it was a Remainiac welcoming one less Brexiteer. There's been plenty of nasty stuff on both sides but if you catch anyone of your own viewpoint  posting something like that who might listen to you, please do call them out on it - and point out that they're giving everyone on your side of the argument a bad name.
