This is what the French call "Dog's weather"

The British say "Lovely weather for ducks," the French refer to the "Temps du chien."

It does seem to be the sort of day that gives filthy days a bad name ...

Then this afternoon was awesome, that is why living in Cumbria is so much fun.

I have grown to refer to heavy rain as "Cumbrian sunshine" You had better believe I know skin is water proof so need no umbrella. Though when it is nice there is no where nicer.

Yes, I noted the change in the following post. I love your expression "Cumbrian Sunshine" though that does leave you wondering what to call the sort of glorious weather we had this afternoon !
