Music to relax after campaigning: the late André Previn plays the Finale from Mozart Piano Concerto No 17
Since André Previn was sadly lost to us on Thursday, it seems fitting to post one of his performances as today's "Music to relax after campaigning" slot. Here he is the piano soloist in a performance of the finale from Mozart's Concerto No 17 K 453.
Previn recorded this in 1973 with the London Symphony Orchestra, the same orchestra of which he was the principal conductor for many years. As he was at the piano, the conductor's baton on this occasion was held by Sir Adrian Boult.
Rest in Peace.
