Sharing vaccines with Australia

Britain has reached an agreement with Australia to share our COVID-19 vaccines, helping support the global recovery and boosting our own successful vaccine programme at home.

  • Thanks to the historic vaccine programme, Britain is building the strongest possible defence against Covid across the UK, but we also want to support nations around the world in their fight against the virus.

  • That is why the UK government has agreed with Australia a vaccine swap to bolster both of our vaccination programmes- providing 4 million doses to each other before the end of the year; which builds on our pledge to support the global response by providing a further 100 million doses to countries most in need by the end of 2022.

  • By working with international partners to coordinate the rollout of life saving vaccines, we will protect more people from this awful virus and save lives.
