Throughout conference the Conservatives have set out how we are getting on with the job with a strong and united team – making the tough decisions, focused on what really matters to people.
- Announcing more powers for the police and tougher sentences for motorway protesters, cracking down on the disruption they cause for people going about their daily lives.
- Delivering a major expansion of drug testing on arrest, helping to identify people misusing drugs – so we can address their behaviour and reduce crime.
- Investing £180 million to tag thousands more offenders, cutting reoffending and protecting victims as we build back safer.
- Delivering a £500 million expansion to our Plan for Jobs, including a new package of measures to help more people get the opportunity of well-paid work as we level up the country.
- Launching 40 new community diagnostic centres across England, providing a one-stop-shop for patients to boost early diagnoses and tackle the NHS backlog.
