  • The plan is working – unemployment has fallen for seven consecutive months, we are forecasted to have the fastest growth in the G7 and job vacancies are at record highs – but we want to keep up the pace.
  • That is why the government is extending many of the schemes in our Plan for Jobs, backed by half a billion pounds, including the Kickstart scheme; the JETS scheme; our Youth Offer and for businesses to hire incentives, as well as introducing a new package of measures so that we help as many people as possible as our economic recovery continues.
  • Supporting, protecting and creating jobs helps vulnerable people in particular by providing them with opportunities for well-paid work as we build back better and level up the country.
