Blooper of the week

A bit of light relief at the end of today's Cumbria county council meeting - a green councillor had put herself down to make a speech about a climate change conference - only she had put the title down as COP 21 (which took place in Paris in 2015) instead of COP 26 (which is currently happening in Glasgow.)

Well, we all make mistakes but if you're going to put yourself up to tell people how important a conference or event is, it does look better if you get its' name right,

In the words of the late Windsor Davies, Oh dear - what a shame - never mind.
