Labour MP Rosie Duffield on Sir Keir Starmer's reshuffle

There are good reasons why it is very rare for an incumbent or aspiring MP of any party to publish a scathing article attacking his or her own party leadership.

And when someone does, it is usually one of the small minority of raving lunatics who somehow make it into parliament occasionally in all the political parties.

But Rosie Duffield, Labour MP for Canterbury, does not seem to have got the memo.

She has written a piece on the "Unherd" website called "The dark arts of Starmer’s reshuffle," which describes the changes which Sir Keir Starmer has just made to his top team as a "charade" which "was powered by sycophancy and spin."

Very entertaining reading for Conservatives, Lib/Dems, and anyone else who doesn't like the Labour leader or his toadies. (And yes, "not-so-subtle toadying" is the sort of language she uses to describe the behavior of her fellow Labour MPs.)

It probably won't however, earn her a place on the Christmas card list of many of Rosie's Labour colleagues.
