Are you endorsing the sale of Walkmill Community Woodland? it was supposed to be for the community "to compensate for the disturbance suffered from opencast operations over many years."

When is Campus Whitehaven, a Cumbria CC project, going to comply with their Planning Conditions? Never?

With regard to the Walkmill Community Woodland issue, I know that my colleague Martin Barbour who represents the area involved is concerned about it and has been speaking to local residents and checking the facts about what is proposed with council officers, and I will very probably be minded to follow his lead.

I wasn't on either CCC or Copeland BC when their respective planning committees looked at the Campus Whitehaven plans, so it is not impossible that I may have missed something but in what respect do you think it is not compliant?

NB - they did eventually produce a travel plan - I made sure Local Committee members saw it.
