20,000 replies in 24 hours to re-opened call for evidence on violence against women and girls

In the light of recent tragic events and fresh public interest, the government has re-opened the call for evidence on how to tackle violence and women and girls.

The call for evidence originally ran for 10 weeks from 10 December 2020 to 19 February 2021.

It was re-opened yesterday, at 6pm on 12 March to further collect views from those with lived experience of, or views on, crimes considered as violence against women and girls. It is open to all genders.

This consultation will remain open until 11:45pm on 26 March 2021

In the first 24 hours after it was re-opened, almost 20,000 people have provided their views.
