- Backed by £446 million, 75 Centres for Doctoral Training were announced today, ensuring researchers across the UK are equipped with the skills they need in the industries of tomorrow.
- The Centres’ 1,400 project partners, which include firms such as Tata Steel and Procter and Gamble, have contributed £386 million in cash and in-kind support, further boosting overall investment.
- Through our modern Industrial Strategy we are investing an additional £7 billion in Research and Development funding by 2022 – representing the highest ever increase in R and D spend.
