Help for apprentices

This weekend, the government launched a new support service to help apprentices who have lost their jobs due to the pandemic find new opportunities and get the help they need to get back on track.

  • The government is taking unprecedented steps through the Plan for Jobs to protect, support and create jobs, with a clear focus on ensuring people get the training they need to develop the skills and experience they need to enter the workforce.

  • As part of these efforts, we have announced a new Redundancy Support Service for Apprenticeships that will ensure apprentices can access local and national services that provide financial, legal, health and wellbeing support, and  help them with the job opportunities to find work  and progress.

  • As we get our economy moving again, we are determined to create high quality apprenticeships so more people, especially young people, can get the kick-start to an exciting and rewarding career.
