A new Crime Dashboard
The government has announced that later this year it will publish a new dashboard on crime levels, holding the police to account, driving up standards and ensuring our police tackle unacceptable levels of crime.
- The first duty of every government is to keep its people safe – and we must ensure people have trust and confidence in our police force.
- That is why Conservatives will follow a common-sense approach, publishing a dashboard of comparable localised crime level data, making it easier for people to evaluate the performance of their police force in their area and hold them accountable.
- Publishing this data will deliver on a key commitment – holding the police to account, driving up standards and ensuring our police tackle unacceptable levels of crime.
