Baroness Betty Boothroyd RIP

The Rt Hon Lady Betty Boothroyd, who was an MP for 27 years and the first and so far only woman to be Speaker of the House of Commons in its seven hundred year history, has died at the age of 93.

She was massively respected and loved by people on both sides of the political divide.

Rest in Peace.
