Quote of the day 30th October 2019

"As we edge towards a December general election, a heartfelt promise:

I will do everything in my power to try to ensure my baby, Jewish by blood, will not be born under an Anti-Semitic government.

I hope this will never happen, please use your vote wisely."

(Rachel Riley on Twitter yesterday @RachelRileyRR.

This was a tweet which shared a Spectator article by Stephen Daisley,

"A vote for Labour is a vote for Anti-Semitism" which you can read here.)

I have deleted a silly comment on this thread which suggested it is somehow racist to quote Rachel Riley's description of her own unborn child as Jewish in her tweet setting out her opposition to Anti-Semitism.

I try to allow constructive debate on this blog but I am under no obligation to provide a platform for that kind of whataboutery.
