Lockdown diary - day one

Both my wife and myself are officially classified as key workers but I mostly can, and therefore am, working from home. She however is based at West Cumberland hospital and isn't in a position to work from home.

Much less traffic observed on the journey to and from the hospital though this may partly be due to an earlier trip there this morning.

Just got back from a shop for food essentials, one of the other reasons one is allowed out. I was surprised by how quiet it was.

It would appear that most people in West Cumbria are taking the message that we need to keep movement and social contact, sadly, to a minimum very seriously.

The line is Stay home: Protect the NHS: Save lives.

It's not a message from the government, which would have been fine, when it was stated its enforceable by police and with fines, it became a national house arrest, and that is not fine, far from it.
