Caroline Lucas of the Greens on the Lib/Dems

It did not take long before the members of the new "Remain Alliance" between the Lib/Dems, the Greens and the Welsh nationalists were sniping at each other.

In an interview on 9th November, Caroline Lucas, formerly the Green party's one MP and their joint leader, had this to say about the Lib/Dem policy on Brexit:


"Position of Revoke, at that point I just felt, this is just taking party interest above national interest to such an unforgivable degree to be honest. 

I think, you know, er, if you wanted to send a message to 17.4 million people that you don't give a f*** about what they've just said, then why don't you just say so?"


I don't always agree with Caroline Lucas but I think she had a point there. I'm sure meetings of the "Remain Alliance" will be lively.

Will there now be a Copeland Leave Alliance for Labour and Conservative Leavers or is this just Armistice Day repeated one hundred years later? Very good of Lord Farage of Brussels in the Kingdom of the Belgians to wait= until 1200hrs to announce his surrender.

There was a Leave Alliance, sadly it did not catch on with politicians. You see the Leave alliance actually seemed to know what they were doing, and, God forbid, actually wrote a plan on how to achieve Brexit, and done it BEFORE the referendum ***GASP***

Quote of the day 24th July 2020

I was moved to put the passage below forward as a quote today when I saw a horrible post on twitter from someone writing that it was "excellent" that someone who took a different view from her about Brexit had died. I won't write which way round it was so that all the Remain supporters can assume the post was from a Brexit fanatic welcoming the death of a remainer and all the Leavers can assume it was a Remainiac welcoming one less Brexiteer. There's been plenty of nasty stuff on both sides but if you catch anyone of your own viewpoint  posting something like that who might listen to you, please do call them out on it - and point out that they're giving everyone on your side of the argument a bad name.
