Special Meeting of the Copeland Local Committee

Cumbria County Council's local committee for Copeland, which consists of the councillors serving on the authority who have been elected to represent Copeland divisions, me this afternoon at 2pm at Cleator Moor Civic Hall.

The main business of the meeting was to consider the Business Plan for the Cleator Moor town deal, which was agreed and will now go to Copeland Borough Council for approval.

County Councillors also discussed our response to Copeland Borough Council's consultation on their proposed new local plan.

It is worth pointing out that Copeland BC have extended the period of consultation on the new local plan during which residents and businesses in the borough can comment to 18th March.
