Cumbria County Council's last budget meeting

A little bit of history will take place on Thursday as Cumbria County Council sets it's final budget for the financial year 2022/3.

In April 2023 the County Council will cease to exist, as will the six district councils in Cumbria, and all seven authorities will be replaced by two new councils: Cumberland Council, which will cover the present area of Allerdale, Carlisle and Copeland councils; and "Westmorland & Furness Council" which will cover the present area of Barrow-in-Furness, Eden, and South Lakeland councils.

The meeting will take place at Carlisle race course at 10am on Thursday 10th December and you can find the agenda and papers at the link here.
