Though for me it was not even that, I think the defining moment of the last labour government, the moment they ignored the will of the electorate, and showed nothing but the deepest utter contempt, which was not shown by blair but by David Milliband, and is right Here

I see what you mean. Though arguably the ratification of Lisbon was even worse - when Brown didn't dare sign along with all the other leaders so he arranged to turned up later and signed to ratify the treaty on his own when everyone else had gone ...
