Remembering heroes and villains
Today is the 23rd anniversary of a day of infamy, when we should remember heroes and villains.
On the 11th September 2001 a group of murderous fanatics, acting in the name of a perverted form of a great religion, hijacked planes and flew them into buildings. They killed thousands of innocent people of all ages, all races, both sexes, people of all religions and none including the faith on behalf of which they claimed to be acting.
But in remembering this terrible crime, and the victims, we should also remember the heroes of 9/11: the firemen and other rescue workers who ran into danger to try to rescue those who were in danger.
