Sunday Reflection
From the Reverend Robert Jackson's sermon at St James' Church Whitehaven this morning
I understand that somewhere in Europe there is a park with a beautiful flower bed, which has a sign communicated the same message in very different ways in three languages.
In German it gives an order, that picking flowers 'ist Verboten' (is forbidden.)
In English it makes a polite request, saying "Please do not pick the flowers."
In French it says "Those who love flowers will not pick them."
