Swimathon 2023 - raising money for cancer care

During Swimathon 2023 which takes place the weekend of 12th to 14th May, I hope to swim 5,000 metres in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care and Cancer Research UK.

This will be the thirtieth consecutive year I have taken this challenge, though during the first year of the pandemic, safety arrangements due to COVID-19 meant that I had to make my own arrangements to do the swim in two halves rather than taking part in a mass event.

This will, however, be the first year I will be doing the swim in Yorkshire. Having moved to Selby in that county, I am taking the Swimathon challenge this year at The Edge swimming pool in Leeds.

I have set up my Justgiving page on which anyone kind enough to do so can sponsor me: the money plus any gift aid goes directly to the Swimathon Foundation and through them to various good causes, but most of it to help cancer research and people living with cancer.
