Unlocking new Transport technologies
The government has announced a new Transport Research and Innovation Grant Programme – supporting start-ups that develop pioneering technology as we work to grow the economy.
- Today’s start-ups are the future drivers of our economy, and if we are to halve inflation, grow the economy, and reduce debt, then we must support them as they work to create jobs and investment.
- That is why the government has this week announced a Transport Research and Innovation Grant Programme, which will provide almost £2 million to start-ups who develop pioneering transport technology, such as remote-controlled robots for delivery, AI to support visually impaired passengers around rail stations, and kite-towed tug boats.
- This investment will support British businesses as they develop new and innovative technologies, helping to grow our economy, halve inflation, and reduce debt.
