Coronavirus diary: day 85
Still getting my head around the fact that the Coronavirus alert level has come down from 4 to 3.
Looking at the figures for infections, deaths and people in hospital, this does seem to make sese - as does preparing to let the economy start to function more normally again.,
But we should remember what Professor Chris Whitty said the other day:
"There are no comfortable options and anyone who thinks there are has not understood the situation."
"There are no risk-free options ahead of us."
On a separate note, I was interested to read an Associated Press piece this week on things which didn't happen - about a set of stories which circulated widely on social media this week and were complete rubbish.
You can read it here - it is always a good idea to check stories you read on social media. And, indeed, in the mainstream media as well.
Keep well
