Sunday music spot: Beethoven's Fifth Symphony

In 1804 Ludwig van Beethoven was going through a period when his work was not appreciated, and he was very short of money. He had such difficulty paying the bills that his cleaning lady, who had not been paid for weeks, came to give notice.

"But you cannot leave me!" cried Beethoven. "You are my inspiration."

The cleaning lady was most amused.

"I am YOUR inspiration?" she asked.

"Ha Ha Ha Haaaaah!"

"Ha Ha Ha Haaaaah!"

And by the way #SupportOption1.

Recently I started to play the piano, so its only now that I understand what "in C minor" actually means,

for all others who have ever wondered it means that every E, A and B note that's there is played "flat" - that means "when It says play E, A or B, instead of pressing the white one, press the black one to the left of it, and never press the white E, A or B ones. For all the other notes just play the white ones and don't touch the black ones.

One other note on music theory, if anyone is interested, there is a very nice canadian man, called Andrew Furmanczyk, who has a really good Website here

if you go to it and click on courses he will teach you either music theory or how to play the piano, both in a seris of videos, and he does a really good job of it too, for the resources he has. He also does it 100% free.

in his one words "It all started because I believe people around the world should be able to have access to free music education that will teach them to understand and play music for themselves.

Through the Furmanczyk Academy of Music I am here to enable you to follow your musical passion or even just explore music out of your own curiosity. This place is can be your ‘superstore’ site for learning music theory or how to play piano, without having to pay anything."

I just figured people like Andrew deserve the odd plug here and there.
