Cilla Black RIP

Priscilla White, known to everyone as Cilla Black because of a misprint in a music paper which she adopted because she preferred it to the original, died on Sunday of a stroke at the age of 72.

She was brought up in a two-up, two-down in Liverpool by a docker father and a mother who ran a market stall.

Her stage career began as a singer with hits such as Anyone Who Had a Heart, You're My World and Alfie, and she then became a TV personality.

She gave a great deal of pleasure to millions of people and she will be missed.

Rest in Peace
