Taking control of Britain's immigration policy

Yesterday the government introduced a landmark Immigration Bill to Parliament, delivering on our commitment to take back control of Britain's immigration policy.

  •  The Conservatives promised a fairer points-based immigration policy.

  • We are keeping that promise and introducing an Immigration Bill that will end free movement and pave the way for a fairer points-based immigration system, so we can prioritise those who come to Britain based on the skills they have to offer, not on the passport they hold.

  • This will allow us to attract the best and the brightest from around the world, boosting the economy and our communities, and unleashing Britain’s full potential.
